Uptown Flagship Studio 〰️

Our Vision

For years, Peace In Practice has brought yoga to where our community already gathers: Wellness Wednesday, rec centers, schools, and our teacher trainings. Now we are opening a door of our own. This studio is a place where yoga is more than shapes and stretching. It is where you come to rest, get strong, reconnect with joy, and leave a little more whole than you arrived. Every class is healing-centered and trauma-informed.

Every body is welcome.

We are rooted in North Minneapolis and growing into Uptown. Our studio exists to carry that connection, so the health, vibrancy, and wealth built here flow back to the communities that built us.

What You Can Count On In Every Class

Our Peace In Practice Studio opens this winter in Uptown Minneapolis. A home for healing-centered yoga, movement, and community, built by and for the people of the Twin Cities.

Come breathe with us. Come sweat with us. Come build this with us.

No matter which class you walk into, it will hold the same care:

  • Breath first. Every practice centers breathwork and opens with an intention.

  • Your body, your choice. We always ask before any hands-on assist.

  • Every level, every class. Modifications and props are offered throughout, so you can go full out or rest.

  • Real rest. Every class closes with five minutes of savasana, with a cold, scented towel.

  • A space that feels good. Great music, an immaculately clean studio, and teachers who stay to connect.

  • Community. The point of all.

Our Classes

Hot Vinyasa · All levels; some yoga experience helpful A flowing, breath-led practice in a heated room (95–100°F) that builds strength, heat, and focus. Every pose comes with options, so you can move at full intensity or rest whenever you need. Bring water and a towel, and come ready to sweat and release.

Hatha Warm · All levels; great for beginners Classic postures held with steady breath in a gently warmed room (80–85°F). The pace gives you time to find alignment, notice sensation, and build a foundation you can carry into any practice.

Slow Flow · All levels; ideal for beginners or rest days Vinyasa at an unhurried pace, linking breath and movement with time to settle into each shape. A spacious, grounding practice for anyone who wants to move without rushing.

Yin · All levels; unheated; props provided Long, supported holds of three to five minutes in seated and reclined shapes that gently stretch deep connective tissue. A practice of stillness and softening, with elements of yoga nidra, where you can slow your nervous system and simply be.

Pilates Mat · All levels Core-centered Pilates using your own body weight plus small props like bands and rings. Build deep abdominal strength, better posture, and body awareness. No equipment experience needed.

Sculpt · All levels; weights provided Yoga meets strength training. Flowing sequences layered with light hand weights, squats, lunges, and core work, set to music. Build muscle and endurance while staying connected to breath.

HIIT · Intermediate; modifications offered Short bursts of cardio and strength work alternating with active recovery. Get your heart rate up and leave energized, with low-impact options throughout.

Dance Fitness · All levels A joyful, judgment-free movement class set to music from across cultures. No choreography experience needed, just a willingness to let your body express itself. Come to move, sweat, laugh, and reconnect with joy as a practice.

Wellness Wednesday · All levels; community class our signature weekly gathering, open to everyone. Practice, connection, and community, the way Peace In Practice began.

From a Heated Flow that leaves you drenched, to a Candlelit Yin that slows everything down, there is a class for whatever you need today.

200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training

Our YTT200 returns in February 2027, with full scholarship opportunities.

This is not only a certification. It is a path to leading, earning, and bringing this practice home to your community. You will train in healing-centered, trauma-informed teaching, in yoga philosophy, breath, and alignment, and you will practice teaching in a real studio alongside our team. Graduates are first in line to teach with us.

Work With Us

We are hiring the people who will make this studio feel like home.

Instructors. We are building a team of 15 core teachers who reflect the communities we serve. Yoga, Pilates, Sculpt, HIIT, and dance instructors are welcome, and we especially want teachers who lead in Spanish. Instructors are paid for the full experience: 30 minutes before class to set the space, the class itself, and 30 minutes after to connect with students.

Front Desk. You are the first face people see and the reason they come back. We are looking for warm, organized people who love community and can keep a busy studio running smoothly.
